The Library of Babylon (バビロンの「図書館」 Babiron no "Toshokan"?) is one of the nine legacies that was left behind by the genius doctor Regina Babylon. It was constructed during the period of the ancient Partheno Civilization approximately 5000 years ago. It was later discovered by Touya Mochizuki and is managed and controlled by the gynoid Irisfam. It is the seventh piece of Babylon to be discovered.[1]

Overview[]

The Library of Babylon is a storehouse that contains the Doctor's vast collection of books and knowledge. It serves as a historical and magical research center and a archive for the combined Babylon. It houses books and other information concerning various subjects as well as spellbooks containing magic spells from that era. By specifying which kind of book you are searching for a magic arrow will appear from the floor pointing to the book or article in question. The bookshelves themselves are also enchanted as they will sink into the floor until the book you looking for is within reach.[2]

The teleportation circle for the Library was located in ruins located in the Demon Kingdom of Xenoahs. The circle itself can be accessed by completing a series of puzzles involving mathematical equations and questions.[1]

The Library would occasionally make contact with other Babylon pieces during their 4907 year long separation. It would make contact with the Sky Garden around 3028 years before it was discovered.[3] It is unknown if it made contact with any other Babylon pieces during their separation.

Trivia[]

  • The Library is the only piece of Babylon that Leen was actually interested in looking for due to it containing various information, spells and other knowledge from ancient civilizations.[3]
  • The Library at the time of it's discovery contains roughly 20 million or more books as stated by Irisfam.[1]
  • Most of if not all of the books contained there are written in ancient Parthenese or other magic languages.[2]
  • The Library is mainly used Touya and the others in searching for magic spells and information on various other topics.[4][5]
  • Touya initially believed the library would only be the professor's porn collection.
